In a Business Council meeting in Jubail Royal Committee
The agreement on cooperation and deepening communication to raise the
level of the economy in Jubail
Representatives of the East Chamber of the Royal Committee of Jubail had
stressed the importance of coordination and communication between the two
parties, for the interest of economic activity in the province, which ranks
among the most prominent areas of Saudi industrially.
This came during a meeting that recently took place at the headquarters of the
Authority Jubail Industrial City, which included members of the work of the
East Chamber of Jubail Council, chief executive of the Royal Committee of
Jubail Dr Musleh Al Otaibi and a number of leaders of the Committee in the
field of public relations and investment.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the Business Council in Jubail
Mishari Oqaili thanked the officials in the Committee headed by Dr. Musleh Al
Otaibi for the responding to hold a meeting with members of the Business
Council in Jubail, which confirms the existence of the desire to develop
cooperation with the business sector, and during the meeting, the issue of
raising the level of communication and coordination between Eastern Chamber
represented by the Council of Jubail works with the Royal Committee has been
confirmed, as there has already been a request by the Council to the
nominate a representative member of the Committee within the Council, and
to be a link of communication between the two parties, has made the
comment, Dr. Al Otaibi commented that the door of the Committee is
opened, and there is an available chance for cooperation and communication with
the private sector, and we do not mind assigning a representative to
communicate and cooperate, which is a suggestion under consideration. In a second concern,
and in a question to one of the members of the Business Council about "the
programs of the Royal Committee management to encourage and support
small and medium enterprises " Dr. Musleh Al-Otaibi replied that the Committee
largely supports small and medium enterprises in more than 300 factories in
Jubail 1, and the same case in Jubail 2, since several locations have been
allocated to these institutions. He pointed that the Committee is
seeking through business incubator to support the Saudi youth to go towards
business pioneers and open new fields for ambitious young people to create
their own business, rather than focusing on the job, hoping that small projects
reflect the Kingdom economy and that we depend on quality rather than quantity
and we are trying to improve the national cadres to reach the highest levels,
also we are looking forward for banks to have an active role in the financing
of these projects.
Some businessmen noted to the issue of raising the rents for the
factories by the, Committee which may be reflected on the operational costs and
thus increases the cost for the consumer, Dr Musleh Al Otaibi said that rents
in Jubail were based on certain data, it is considered modest compared to the
level of prices in the countries of the world, and for obtained services.
Explaining not raising industrial rental fees, that they did not exceed
4.5 riyals per square meter, and as for the commercial real estate
activity 45 riyals per square meter, and these prices are very encouraging
compared to world prices.
At the end of the meeting, Dr Musleh Al Otaibi stressed the support for
anything that would serve Jubail and increase the amount of economic activity
in general there.
